Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are almost done here at Frank Hurt Dance! We have our June dress rehearsal and final performance called Wow… Dancing Machine! This title is based on two of our class dances that did really well in competition. We thought it would be fun to have everyone learn each other’s dance and we could make it into a finale number. Anyone is welcome to come learn parts of these dances and be a part of the show!
Wednesday, May 25 from 3-4pm some of the grade 9/10 girls will be teaching the WOW dance.
Wednesday, June 1 from 3-4 pm some of the boys will be teaching the Dancing Machine Dance.
Friday, June 3 from 12-1:15 is the dress rehearsal
from 1:30 – 2:45 is our Elementary performance (students must have permission forms signed by their teachers. These are both mandatory – if your student is not here they will not be in the show but they must still come to help out backstage.
Thursday, June 9 is our show – students must be here at 5:30 – We will be having a dance party at this time! If you would like to send treats with your students to share that would be awesome!! The doors will open for the audience at 6:45 and the show will start promptly at 7 and should run till about 8:30.
All missed classes must be made up before the Wow… Dancing Machine! Dress Rehearsal which means the final date to make up missed classes is June 3 at lunch. Any dance class student who does not make up their missed classes will not be dancing in the show. They must still come to the show to help me backstage. There is always a lot of work to do behind the scenes!
Tickets are $5 each and will be for sale at lunch time and after school from Ms. J in the dance office starting Monday, June 6.
