OUTBREAK 2012 REGISTRATION & PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Please not these procedures for registration & timed rehearsals on stage:
- Each school will have a specific time for registration, teachers must arrive with their students
- To make the registration faster have students stand in alpha order
- Once registered students must wear their wristbands for dancer identification & access to change rooms
- Once registered, groups will go into the main gym for their rehearsal .
- Teachers will hand in their music on Flash drive to the music technician
- When your group is called to the stage please be prepared. All large teams and classes with be given 3 minutes to rehearse their formations without music. The sound tech will test your music to make sure it is correct and in working order. Have a back-up C.D. with all your songs just in case.
- After your practise student may find their area in the small gym to put their things, rehearse, make new friends or visit old ones. Student seating is also available in the gym when the show starts.
- Students may leave the building but will be searched again on re-entry.
- All school rules apply to this event. Any students who have broken school rules will be asked to leave by our school security team.

JUST A REMINDER….
• Dancers only with coaches and sponsors in the small gym. No outside friends or family.
• All gym doors must be kept closed. Do not enter or exit from the outside gym doors. If you need to leave the gym for out the inside gym entrance. There is good reception for cell phones in the cafeteria.
• Please place garbage in the cans provided.
• Please put on your make-up in the girls change room and leave the main washroom in the hallway for the audience members. Bring extra mirrors. DO NOT PUT ON HAIR SPRAY IN THE SMALL GYMNASIUM IT RUINS THE FLOORS!
• Keep all valuables with you at all times. If it is valuable, leave it at home. NSS cannot be responsible for lost items.
• There will be a concession for dancers and audience members.
• There will be a coach’s lounge in the NSS staffroom.
Please remind your students that all students involved are amateur dancers with many students performing at a competition for their very first time. Let’s all be respectful and encouraging of one another. Let there be no derogatory statements concerning another school or fellow dancer at any time. We hold a no negativity rule and it is strictly enforced, anyone showing non-compliance to this rule will be asked to leave the event and may disqualify your team. The spirit of the show is to showcase what we are learning in our schools and to have fun. Please make sure your students know it is not important whether they win or lose but rather ask themselves, “Did we put on a great show!” Let’s keep the Outbreak tradition going and put on the best high school dance show ever!
